Steps taken by Indian rulers in IOK unacceptable: TeM

Srinagar, October 29, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Mazahmat while hailing the freedom sentiments of the Kashmiri people has said that the recent steps taken by the Indian rulers by the dint of military might in the territory are unacceptable.

A Tehreek-e-Mazahmat spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar denounced the Indian government’s attempt to distort the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcate the territory into two union territories, which he said is not acceptable to the people of Kashmir. He said that these steps are meant to abolish the Muslim majority character of Jammu and Kashmir by changing its demography.

The spokesman maintained that the people of Kashmir could not be forced into submission through killings, intimidation, arrests and threats. He urged the international human rights organizations to raise their voice against the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and play their role in granting the Kashmiri people their inalienable right to self-determination
