KARACHI:Met office has informed today that a strong westerly weather system is affecting western, central and upper parts of the country, which is likely to intensify tonight and may persist in upper parts till Monday (morning).

Rain/snow wind-thunderstorm (with few heavy falls) is expected in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, north Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir. Fog is expected in few plain areas of Punjab. Snowfall is likely to intensify in northern areas including Murree, Galyat and upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during next 24 hours.
