Students flee for safety as Naundero school roof bars fall

NAUNDERO:Students and their teachers ran for safety out of their classrooms when cemented roof bars fell down in Government Municipal Higher Secondary School here on Thursday.

They later held a protest demonstration outside the school administration against the dilapidated condition of the old school building and shouted slogans against the rulers for ignoring the vital education sector.

Students Wajid Sangi, Ibrar Shah, Ghulam Dastagir Sanghroo, Shan Hyder Mangi, Saif Bhutto, Sheeraz Tagar, Faraz Mirani and others complained that since last three days, cemented bars were constantly falling down in classrooms of Xth classes due to which their lives were in extremely danger and they were not able to get education under fear.

They said several complaints had been sent by the school administration to higher education department authorities, but nothing had so far been done which was really unbecoming of an elected government.

They said fortunately, no students was injured as all ran out quickly for safety. They said their future was at stake and their education was under fear due to panic because, they added, they cannot continue to attend classes under a roof which is dangerous for our lives.

Incharge Principal of the school Ali Hassan Khokhar said that he had informed about the prevailing dilapidated situation of the school building to the District Education Officer Akhtar Hussain Korejo and Executive Engineer, Education Works Department, Larkana, but nothing has so far been done.
