Security forces conducted operations under a series of strategies near the Pak-Afghan border, resulting in the killing of 29 terrorists. These operations were carried out in response to recent attacks, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated today, targeting militant camps and hideouts.
These operations took place in the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, specifically aimed at eliminating groups linked to Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and ‘Fitna al-Khawarij.’ Intelligence reports prompted the ground assault, resulting in the deaths of the notorious foreign commander Khan Farosh alias Zabal, and three associates of the Indian-backed Jamaat-ul-Ahrar.
These efforts are part of Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, an initiative based on precise intelligence that destroyed terrorist sanctuaries in Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar. During the night of 28-29 June, these targeted attacks destroyed three hideouts, resulting in the killing of 25 additional terrorists and the destruction of a large cache of weapons.
Minister Tarar emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional peace and stability, stating that the safety of its citizens will always remain a top priority. These operations demonstrate the country’s resolve to eliminate the threats of terrorism near its borders.
