Independence Day and Defense Day celebrations in Sukkur commenced with an enthusiastic poster competition, with the participation of numerous students. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nadeem Shehzad Khan inaugurated the event at the Arts Council Sukkur.
Students from government and private schools, as well as various other organizations, participated enthusiastically in the competition. The DC distributed awards, including cash prizes, to the top three winners, while the Assistant Commissioner Sukkur City was also present. A student who recited Naat was given a special award and all participants received certificates.
Mr. Khan visited the Arts Council and praised the children’s artwork, appreciating their artistic skills and imagination. In his address, he announced that this year’s Independence Day and Defense Day celebrations are being held with great enthusiasm. The district administration has organized various events starting from August 1st and continuing until August 15th, aimed at boosting the morale of all citizens, especially the youth. He emphasized that these celebrations send a global message of Pakistani unity and the commitment to protect their country from any threat.
