Summit Aims to Harness Youth Potential for Leadership and Innovation

A national summit aimed at positioning Pakistan’s youth at the forefront of leadership, innovation, and socio-economic progress commenced in Gwadar on Tuesday. The three-day event gathers a significant number of young delegates from across the nation to address key contemporary challenges.

The National Youth Summit 2026, organised by the Government of Balochistan”s Sports and Youth Affairs Department, was officially inaugurated by Meena Majeed, the Provincial Advisor for the department. The launch ceremony at GDA Public School was attended by senior officials, including Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Dura Baloch and Director General of Sports Dr. Yasir Bazai.

Centred on the theme “Learn, Innovate, Lead,” the summit”s agenda includes a series of workshops, panel discussions, and specialised sessions. The programme will dedicate specific days to crucial topics, with entrepreneurship and the blue economy scheduled for the second day, followed by women”s empowerment and climate resilience on the final day.

Beyond the formal discussions, the event offers participants practical engagement through cultural activities and business pitch competitions. The summit also features information and exhibition stalls, which are reportedly drawing public interest, alongside educational tours of Gwadar Port to provide attendees with direct experience of the region”s economic infrastructure.
