SUP, civil society stages rallies against issuance of fake domiciles to non-locals

LARKANA:A large number of activists of Sindh United Party (SUP) took out a rally, held a protest demonstration at Jinnah Bagh Monday and shouted slogans while holding placards and party flags in their hands against the rehabilitation of aliens in Sindh and issuance of domicile and Permanent Residence Certificates (PRC) to outsiders.

Their leaders including Dr. Mazhar Mughal, Sheeba Mughal, Sadar Bhatti, Darya Khan Mughal, Manzoor Shaikh, Fatah Janwari, Musawir Mangi, Sajad Kalhoro and others said while talking to media that issuance of domicile and PRCs to non-residents is a great injustice with the people of Sindh for which law should be brought through Sindh Assembly to stop this malpractice and injustice without loss of any time so that no one ever dares to issue such certificate in future.

They demanded stern legal action against those officers who have been involved in this practice which has deprived so many qualified youngsters of Sindh of their right to jobs. They said that fake domiciles and PRCs issued previously must be canceled forthwith and FIRs should also be lodged against those officers who cheated the government while seeking jobs on bogus domiciles.

Meanwhile, another protest demo was also held by members of civil society, various political and non-political organizations who also took out a large rally from Ghinto Fatak which after marching through various roads culminated at Jinnah Bagh where the participants staged a huge demonstration shouting slogans against issuance of domiciles and PRCs to the outsiders which, according to them, have enhanced poverty in the province of Sindh. They included activists of Sunni Tehreek, members of Sindh Sahafi Sangat, Khaksar Tahreek, All Pakistan Mastoi Ittehad, Thaheem Ittehad and others.

The protesters said that the rights of the local people have been robbed by those who are cheaters. They said cheaters cannot be honest in discharging their legal and moral duties justifiably while sitting in government offices hence, adding they should be removed from their jobs immediately because they have been recruited on bogus domiciles and PRCs which has killed the concept of merit and has also brought bad governance in the province. They also demanded registration of criminal cases against them and high-level inquiry into the issuance of bogus certificates to outsiders throughout Sindh.
