A suspected accused was arrested in an injured state on Sunday following an armed encounter between law enforcement agencies and alleged robbers in Federal B Area.
The incident occurred this morning in Block 05, where an exchange of fire took place between the parties. Following the shootout, authorities successfully took one person into custody.
The arrested individual has been identified as Bilal son of Abdul Momin. A pistol with ammunition and a mobile phone were recovered from his possession, which were seized on the spot.
Officials from the Gulberg Police Station confirmed that the injured accused has been moved to a hospital for medical treatment. A thorough investigation into the matter has been launched.
