Nation wants early release of Aafia Siddiqui: Dr Fowzia

Karachi:Aafia Movement Pakistan (AMP) leader and noted neuro-physician of the country Dr Fowzia Siddiqui has said that the Pakistan nation, as well as, AMP and the government all want to secure early release of Pakistani mother Dr Aafia Siddiqui from the US detention.   Addressing a press conference at her residence Tuesday evening, Dr Fowzia said that the purpose of today's press conference is to talk about the briefing of advisor to Prime Minister Dr Babur Awan given to the Senate committee of Pakistan about filing a written mercy petition of Dr Aafia. She said after this development, she is receiving a lot of telephone calls. (National): Fowzia terms September 23 a black day

Karachi:Aafia Movement Pakistan (AMP) leader and noted neuro-physician of the country Dr Fowzia Siddiqui has said that the day of September 23 is a black day of history as on this day justice was murdered. Addressing to a peaceful protest march entitled 'human rights of Aafia' that marched from the Karachi Press Club to the Governor House here Wednesday, she said the 23rd September 2010 is the day of the murder of justice. It would be remembered as a black day in history. (National): PM Imran urged to take up Aafia issue during his US visit

Karachi:Aafia Movement Pakistan (AMP) leader and noted neuro-physician of the country Dr Fowzia Siddiqui in an open letter to the Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged him to take up the issue of Aafia Siddiqui with the US administration during his coming visit to the US. In the letter, Dr Fowzia wrote: Thirteen years ago, you took a courageous stand for Dr Aafia Siddiqui, calling her the “daughter of the Nation” and promising to do all in your power to have her returned to Pakistan.
