The Dream of Progress and Prosperity cannot be materialized without eradication of terrorism and maintenance of Law and Order situation in the country: National Assembly Speaker

Islamabad, October 04, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Commandant Frontier Constabulary Moazzam Jah Ansari called on the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser at Parliament House on Thursday. Matters pertaining to overall law and order situation and elimination of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) were discussed in the meeting.

The Speaker expressed satisfaction over the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and eulogized the role of Frontier Constabulary in maintenance of law and orders situation in the Province as well as in the country. He said that our security forces rendered peerless sacrifices in war against terrorism. He said that without up to mark law and order and elimination of terrorism the dream of progress and prosperity cannot be materialized.

He stressed the need for joint efforts to coup with challenges being faced by the country and internal and external threats. He said that eradication of bane of terrorism from the country top priority of incumbent Government. He said that whole nation united against war on terrorism and stood with it security forces.

The Commandant Frontier Constabulary Moazzam Jah Ansari apprised the Speaker about overall security and law and order situation in the country. He said that Frontier Constabulary has always remained ready to combat any untoward situation and will leave no stone unturned to maintenance of law and order situation and eradication of terrorism in the country. He thanked the Speaker for his kind remarks for personnel of Frontier Constabulary.

National Assembly Speaker writes letter to his Indonesian Counterpart to condole the loss of Precious Lives in recent Earthquake and Tsunami in Indonesia

Islamabad, October 03, 2018 (PPI-OT): Asad Qaiser Speaker National Assembly has said that people and Parliament of Islamic Republic of Pakistan expressed complete solidarity with the people and House of Representatives of Republic of Indonesia and condoled the loss of precious lives during the recent powerful earthquake and tsunami in Island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. He expressed these views in a letter written to Mr. Bambang Soesatyo, Speaker House of Representatives of Republic of Indonesia today.

The Speaker assured that in this difficult situation whole Pakistani Nation stood with their Indonesian brethren and hoped that the brave people of Republic of Indonesia will soon overcome this tragic incident. “Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with all those bereaved families, who lost their love ones and are passing through trauma” he added. The Asad Qaiser asked Indonesian Speaker to convey the sympathies of members of National Assembly of Pakistan to bereaved families.

Government employees should keep human values in mind while using their authorities: National Assembly Speaker

Islamabad, October 01, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that elimination of sense of deprivation and restoration of trust in federation of small provinces is foremost priority of the incumbent Government. He said that equal opportunities will be provided to all provinces in China-Pak Economic Corridor Projects and their concerns on important issues will be addressed with their consultation. He expressed these views while talking to a 23 Members Course Participants of Provincial Management Services (PMS) and Excise and Taxation from Pakistan Provincial Services Academy, Peshawar who called on him at Parliament House on Monday.

The Speaker said that the Government Employees should keep human values in mind while using their authorities. He said that development goals can be achieved with good Governance and respect of human values. He said that aim should be great instead of portfolio, however, it is very sad that we are running after portfolios and forgot aims. He said that challenges did not end the nations but the challenges polish them and they overcome these challenges with more diligently and hard work.

“The example of Germany and Japan are in front of us” he added. He said that these nations fought very tremendously and hard working with difficult situations. He said that besides the role and ethics of the nations, the insight and character of leadership played key role to rise the nations. He said that we have to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) for success. The Speaker said that the Government Functionaries were pivot of Government machinery and they should carry out their duties with full sincerity and devotion and public service should be their prime objective.

He said that Pakistan passing through a difficult time and all the institutions have to work closely in order to take the country out of this difficult time. He said that the Government Employees have always play an important role in strengthening the economy in the developing countries. Emphasizing the need to promote relations between Federal and Provincial Governments he said that by promoting contacts between Federation and Provinces we can solve the issues confronted by the country in better way.

NA Speaker Writes Letter to his Iranian Counterpart to Condemn the Terrorist Attack on Military Parade in Ahvaz, Iran

Islamabad, September 26, 2018 (PPI-OT): Asad Qaiser Speaker National Assembly has said that people and Parliament of Islamic Republic of Pakistan express complete solidarity with the people and Islamic Parliament of brotherly country Islamic Republic of Iran and strongly condemned the gruesome terrorist attack on a military parade in Ahvaz, Islamic Republic of Iran on 22nd September, 2018. He expressed these views in a letter written to Dr. Ali Ardeshir Larijani, Speaker of Islamic Parliament of Iran today.

The Speaker said that Pakistan Parliament has condemned this cowardly act of terrorism in the strongest terms, which claimed precious lives and injured many. “Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with all those bereaved families, who lost their love ones and are passing through trauma” he added. He asked Iranian Speaker to convey the sympathies of entire National Assembly of Pakistan to bereaved families.

He said that National Assembly of Pakistan was of firm belief that such heinous act of terrorism was targeted towards the entire humanity and especially the Muslim Ummah. “Pakistan has been braving such cowardly acts of terrorism for the lost one decade” he added.” He said that Pakistan firm in its conviction to fight out this menace for the peace and progress of entire humanity. He assured that whole Pakistani nation completely support and pray that the brave brothers and sisters of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon overcome this tragic incident.

Pakistan Believes Relations with United States on Equality Basis: NA Speaker

Islamabad, September 24, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that Pakistan believed relations with United States (US) on equality basis. He said that Parliament of Pakistan was committed to build strong parliamentary links with US, neighboring countries and entire region for enhance cooperation on economic front. He assured that he will discuss the problems confronted by the business community with Minister for Finance and Minister for Commerce for their resolution. He expressed these views while addressing First Pak-US Business Opportunity Conference held at Islamabad on Monday.

The Speaker said that it has been widely acknowledged that National prosperity, sustainable development and quality of life of a common man heavily depends on the business fraternity working side by side with Government for bringing about a positive change and strengthening the economy. He said that despite all challenges the Business Community of Pakistan has significantly contributed to the social-economic development of the country. He said that all the developmental challenges and national issues can be adequately tackled by taking an inclusive approach.

The Speaker said that due to flawed economic policies, political instability, chaos and horrific wave of terrorism the national economy badly affected. “The terror hit areas of the country especially province of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa it was never easy to carry out routine business activity” he added. He said that despite of all challenges the country had managed to a significant breakthrough on economic and political front as well as against the terrorism. He said that the confidence of civilian leadership put in the efforts of our security forces, the war on terror had borne fruits and the business environment was reasonable more conducive for local and international investment.

Asad Qaiser said that due to changes in global economic landscape the centre of gravity of world economy has shifted to emerging economies growing at a much faster pace. He said that encouraging regional integration and connectivity is one of the key pillars of Pakistan’s policy and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was the most promising element of this policy. He said that CPEC will help to end power outages in Pakistan and ensure connectivity between China, South Asia and Central Asia. He expressed his optimism that CPEC will open new vistas of development for Pakistan and entire region.

The Speaker said that despite tensed relations between Pakistan and United States, it was encouraging sign that the volume of trade between the two countries had touched new height. He said that textile, tourism and agriculture industry have a huge untapped potential. He invited the US investors to invest in Pakistan and assured all kind of facilitations and support to them.

He hoped that bilateral business and investment ventures would help in the betterment of bilateral relations between the two countries. He urged upon the business chambers to play role of well established communications channel between the Government and business community for broader interest of the country. He assured that issues of national importance will be brought on the Table of the House for discussion and concerned experts will be invited for opinion and in light of their suggestion the policies will be finalized.
