PM: (PM reiterates Pakistan’s commitment to continue to work with US for peace in Afghanistan and region)

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to continue to work with the United States for peace in Afghanistan and in the region.

 

In a tweet message, the Prime Minister felicitated Joe Biden for winning the US Presidential election.

 

Imran Khan said he looks forward to President elect Joe Biden’s Global Summit on Democracy and working with him to end illegal tax havens and stealth of nation’s wealth by corrupt leaders.

PM: (Health Card Scheme will be extended to entire Punjab by 2021: PM)

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Imran Khan has emphatically stated to bring the corrupt elements to justice and recover the plundered amount from them.

 

He was addressing a mammoth public gathering in Hafizabad on Saturday after laying foundation stone of development projects including a hospital and a University.

 

The Prime Minister regretted that a person sitting in London is attacking the state institutions including the judiciary and the Army. He said the PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif is speaking the language of India to protect the looted amount.

 

Imran Khan said the present government’s policies are aimed at reducing poverty, uplift the poor segments of society and ensure rule of law in the country where everybody is equal before the law. He said the journey towards establishing a welfare state has been started and this country will emerge as a great nation on the world map.

 

He said Health Insurance scheme will be extended to the fifty percent population of Punjab by the end of this year and to the whole of province by next year. He said under this scheme, the people will be able to get medical treatment of one million rupees both from the public and private hospitals.

 

The Prime Minister was confident that this helped increase the network of hospitals especially in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said even the richest countries in the world do not have such a health insurance scheme.

 

Imran Khan said Naya Pakistan Housing project has also been started under which the people will be able to get loan on easy installments at the interest rate of five percent to build a five-marla house. He said it is the first time in the country’s history that the people will be able to own their houses.

 

On election reforms, the Prime Minister said it will be his government that will hold the fairest and transparent elections and emerge victorious. He said the process of election reforms has been started and we will use the new technology including the electronic voting.

 

PM: (PM inquires about Ch Shujaat’s health on phone)

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Imran Khan phoned to inquire after the health of PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who was admitted to hospital in Lahore on Friday.

 

According to a report quoting PML-Q sources, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes for early recovery of the veteran politician during a telephonic conversation with his son MNA Chaudhry Shafey Hussain.

 

The PML-Q President was shifted to the hospital for treatment of chest infection. According to MNA Moonis Elahi, his condition is stable.

 

PM: (ML-1 project to modernize railway system: PM)

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Main Line-1 (ML-1) project will modernize railway system and accelerate economic activity in the country.

 

He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of upgradation of Hasan Abdal Railway Station on Friday. The Prime Minister said the six billion dollars ML-1 project will be executed with the cooperation of China.

 

After completion, he said, the distance between Karachi and Lahore will be covered in seven hours. Imran Khan said the project will create massive job opportunities and will significantly contribute to the economic development.

 

He said railway is a facility used for travelling by ordinary people; but unfortunately, it was not developed by the previous governments. The Prime Minister said with the up-gradation, Hasan Abdal Railway Station will now provide better facilities to all the passengers, including Sikh Yatrees.

 

Underlining the need for promotion of tourism sector in the country, the Prime Minister said worship places of the minorities, including Hindus and Sikhs, should be renovated so that people from different religions visit Pakistan in a large number.

 

He said the country is heading in the right direction as all economic indicators are on the positive trajectory. Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated up-gradation of Hasan Abdal Railway Station. He was briefed on the facilities offered at the railway station.

CM: (PM’s special energy package for industrial sector to boost investment: Buzdar)

ISLAMABAD:Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that for the first time in the history of the province, all facilities have been provided to investors under one roof.

 

He stated this while talking to Chairman Punjab Board of Investment Sardar Tanveer Ilyas who called on him in Lahore on Wednesday.

 

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s special energy package for the industrial sector will boost investment and create new job opportunities for youth.

 

He said now Punjab has become the safest province for investors while the previous governments did not take any practical steps to promote investment.

 

PM: (PM announces energy relief package for industrial sector)

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced a comprehensive package to provide electricity to industries at reduced rates.

 

Announcing the package on Tuesday, he said small and medium industries will get additional electricity on 50 percent reduced rates from November 01 till June 30 of the next year.

 

For example, if an industrial unit would buy electricity at a rate of 16 rupees per unit and now it will get the same on fifty percent discount on consuming additional electricity.

 

He said it has also been decided to provide additional electricity at 25 percent discounted rates to all the industry, including big and small unites, for next three years. He said the electricity will be provided to the industry on off-peak hours’ basis throughout the year.

 

The Prime Minister said it was unfortunate that our industrial products could not compete with other countries due to expensive electricity as a result of costly power agreements signed by the previous governments.

 

He said this package will reduce cost of production, enhance Pakistan’s exports, and create wealth. He said due to prudent economic policies of the government, a record sale of cement, motorcycles, and cars has been witnessed, whereas our construction sector is also progressing at a great pace.
