Tareen calls on authorities to take action against SQJ leaders

QUETTA:Sardar Naseem Khan Tareen, Chairman, Musalihati Committee, Balochistan and Senior Vice President, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Sami-ul-Haq) on Saturday said that he would sue the members of so-called Subae Qaumi Jirga (SQJ) Balochistan before the court of law who had levelled baseless allegations of land mafia against him in the Press Conference of SQJ held the previous day at Quetta Press Club.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, Tareen said that he was having affiliation with a peaceful religious party JUI (S) besides running the affairs of Musalihati Committee set up for redressing the grievances of people.

He added JUI (S) had formed a committee to conduct investigation into the allegations of land mafia levelled against him earlier and people were accordingly encouraged to produce evidence of having his connection with land mafia, but no proof was presented before the committee constituted by provincial Ameer of JUI (S), Mufti Abdul Wahid Bazai.

Tareen said that some leaders of so-called SQJ were also involved in grabbing land. He asked who tried to grab 48 acres of land in Kuchlak, who encroached upon 7 acres of land of one person of Kasi tribe in Nawa Killi area and similarly who grabbed 7 acres land in Killi Almas.

He called on Inspector General of Frontier Corps, Balochistan, Inspector General of Police, Balochistan and other authorities to take strict action against the leaders of so-called SQJ who were blackmailing police and authorities of Settlement Office, Quetta to achieve their own objectives.
