Teams alert in the field in Jhang due to rain for drainage

In response to the recent heavy rainfall, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has issued directives to deploy field teams to manage water drainage in the area.

Led by Deputy Commissioner Jhang Babar Sahib Din, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Amir Mehmood has overseen operations today and has actively spent the last three hours monitoring the situation.

A comprehensive inspection was conducted covering key areas such as Shaheed Road, Rail Bazaar, MPA Road, Chameli Market, and Yusuf Shah Road.

Staff and officers from the Water and Sewerage Agency (WASA), Suthra Punjab, Para Force, and Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) are fully engaged in field operations.

Necessary machinery and de-watering equipment are available and are being actively used to address the issue of water accumulation in low-lying areas.
