Global trade fair powerhouse Messe Frankfurt has made a significant strategic move to attract Pakistan’s esteemed handmade carpet manufacturers to its international stage, utilizing a major local exhibition in Lahore as a recruitment platform for its upcoming flagship event, Heimtextil 2026.
Messe Frankfurt Pakistan marked its presence at the 41st Pakistan International Handmade Carpet Exhibition, which concluded on October 9 after a three-day run in Lahore. The event was a collaborative effort between the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
The Lahore showcase served as a vital backdrop for Messe Frankfurt to build momentum for Heimtextil, the world”s largest trade fair for home and contract textiles. The company’s participation was geared towards engaging directly with key stakeholders within the South Asian carpet industry.
This initiative aimed to highlight the value and opportunities available at Heimtextil 2026, which is steadily expanding its focus on the carpets and rugs sector. The organization engaged with leading producers, exporters, and international buyers, showcasing the rich tradition of Pakistani carpet weaving.
The upcoming edition of the fair in Frankfurt is set to feature an even broader and more diverse selection of high-quality carpets. It promises to be a premier international platform for manufacturers, designers, and purchasers to connect, collaborate, and expand their presence within the global market.
