Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, hosted a luncheon at the Governor’s House for the victims of tanker and dumper accidents, attended by over 150 affected families. The Governor also distributed ration bags among the affected families.
During a press conference, the Sindh Governor expressed gratitude to the Chief Justice for taking notice of his letter. He mentioned that a few days ago, he had written to the Chief Justice regarding heavy traffic accidents, and now, following the Supreme Court’s notice, there is hope for justice for the victims.
The Governor stated that it is now time for action and that the perpetrators will be brought to justice. He further added that Karachi cannot afford more unrest and that the political games need to cease.
He visited the homes of the victims and offered his condolences. The Governor of Sindh announced that FIRs would be filed for the victims and financial assistance would be provided. The educational expenses of the victims’ children will also be covered.
The Governor emphasized that plots, rations, and financial aid would be provided to the victims, but they would not be handed flags. He stressed that the focus will now be on education, good health, and employment.
