Thatta Court Orders Registration of Case Against 4 Persons Including Police Officer for Storming a Citizen’s House

A court order was issued today in Thatta, directing the registration of a criminal case against an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and three other individuals following an alleged house assault, violation of sanctity, and forced entry into a citizen’s home. The SSP Thatta has also been instructed to entrust the investigation to a senior and impartial police officer.

Details reveal that Muhammad Saleem Gandro, a resident of Thatta city, filed an application in the court of the Second Additional Sessions Judge Thatta. Their legal representative, Shabbir Ahmed Kumbhar, submitted this application, mentioning an ongoing land dispute with Muhammad Hussain Memon.

The application alleged that on April 6, Muhammad Hussain Memon illegally interfered with Gandro’s property, in collaboration with ASI Shahrukh Bhatti and his sons Asif and Sikandar.

According to the plaintiff, the accused forcibly entered the house, evicted the family, locked the premises, and issued serious threats.

After hearing the arguments of the lawyers for both parties, the court accepted Muhammad Saleem Gandro’s application. Subsequently, the court ordered charges to be filed against ASI Shahrukh Bhatti, Muhammad Hussain Memon, and his sons Asif and Sikandar. The judicial body reiterated its directive to have the matter investigated by a high-ranking, impartial police officer.
