Authorities have put law enforcement and other agencies on high alert to maintain the law and order situation during the ongoing Urs Mubarak at the shrine of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ashabi (RA).
These directives were issued on Monday after a detailed review of the arrangements for the Urs, led by Deputy Commissioner Thatta Sarmad Ali Bhagat. He was accompanied on the occasion by SSP Thatta Farooq Ahmed Bijarani, Auqaf Manager Gul Hassan Chauhan, and other relevant officers.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various facilities, including security protocols, sanitation arrangements, drinking water supply, and a fire safety audit. He also reviewed the operational readiness of the specially established control room.
Mr. Bhagat issued strict instructions to the heads of the concerned departments to provide all possible facilities to the visiting devotees, making it clear that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. He emphasized ensuring the continuous supply of sanitation, electricity, and water.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner ordered that the control room staff remain vigilant at all times so that any emergency situation that arises during the religious gathering can be dealt with promptly.
Briefing the delegation on the security plan, SSP Thatta Farooq Ahmed Bijarani confirmed that strict security arrangements have been implemented in and around the shrine. He stated that a heavy contingent of police has been deployed so that devotees can pay their respects in a peaceful environment.
