The Chief Minister of Sindh accepted the invitation to visit China

Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, and Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong celebrated the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China during a meeting on Tuesday. The gathering emphasized the growing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Deputy Consul General Mr. Sheng and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Agha Wasim Abbas were also present. During the meeting, the Chinese Consul General invited the Chief Minister to visit Hubei, the sister province of Sindh, in October. This upcoming visit will play a crucial role in promoting investment, enhancing agricultural development, and advancing bilateral cooperation, an invitation that Chief Minister Shah accepted.

A key outcome of the meeting was that a team of agricultural experts from Sindh will visit China. The purpose of this visit is to learn and implement modern farming techniques behind China’s remarkable agricultural development.

Expressing Sindh’s interest, Chief Minister Shah stated that they want to adopt modern agricultural practices to increase crop production and improve water usage. He said, “Our government is committed to introducing new crop plans and achieving higher yields with less water,” highlighting the potential benefits of Chinese technology in these efforts.

The discussion also covered topics of mutual interest, economic cooperation, and potential partnerships. Murad Ali Shah emphasized the growing trade, investment, and development cooperation between Sindh and China and highlighted the enduring strength of Pakistan-China friendship.

As a gesture of goodwill, the Chief Minister presented the Chinese Consul General with traditional gifts of Ajrak and Sindhi cap, symbolizing the warm relations between the two regions. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to deepening relations to promote peace, development, and prosperity in the region.
