The Speaker of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, has stated that the principles established by Muslim luminaries in culture and civilization serve as a fundamental guide for future generations. He mentioned that these principles can help the youth tackle future challenges.
According to a statement from the Press Information Department of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Latif Akbar participated in a three-day international conference organized by the Muslim Institute in memory of Maulana Rumi and Hazrat Sultan Bahu.
The chief guest of the conference was Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, while other notable figures included Ms. Rubina Khurshid Alam, Turkish Ambassador Irfan Nazir Oglu, Azerbaijani Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, and other dignitaries.
Chaudhry Latif Akbar described Maulana Rumi as a historic figure, noting that his writings remain a treasure of knowledge and literature. He also praised the spiritual influence of Hazrat Sultan Bahu, stating that his teachings provide spiritual enrichment.
At the end of the ceremony, a souvenir was presented to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
