Agha Syed Hussain Naqvi of Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya (TNFJ) Pakistan has said that the incidents of disrespect to the pictures of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in government offices and social circles are “a question mark for the nation”.
He expressed these views on Monday while addressing students at a “Laws” training session organized by the Muttahida Students Organization Pakistan.
Naqvi stressed that the sole purpose of the Islamic system is to establish a society free from personality worship and prejudice. He said that physical and spiritual purity sets a society on the path of progress, while its lack leads to ideological decline and moral pollution.
Linking the concept of purity to the infallibility of the prophets and messengers, he described the purity of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and his progeny as its highest form.
The TNFJ official said that the establishment of Pakistan was the result of a struggle for a fundamental ideology and ideological clarity. To take the nation to its “zenith,” he stressed the need to follow the “pure path of Jinnah and Iqbal.”
Naqvi described purity as “the preface to servitude,” explaining that the Islamic system of cleanliness is based on universality, which emphasizes internal purity along with external cleanliness.
He suggested that by making the teachings of Imam Jafar Sadiq (A.S.) a guiding light, the youth of Islam can be saved from the evils associated with materialism and colonialism.
Naqvi described the life of Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi Al-Najafi as an “embodiment of spirituality and purity,” saying that followers can achieve their ideological goals by adhering to his principles.
Addressing the session, TNFJ’s provincial president Agha Syed Baqir Naqvi urged the students to fulfill their national and religious responsibilities along with pursuing their education. He called the youth the “bright future of the nation” and encouraged them to make ideological purity their motto.
Muttahida Students Organization Chairman Syed Muhammad Abbas Kazmi highlighted the importance and continuity of ideological training.
Supervisory Council member and former central president Syed Baqir Naqvi was also present on the occasion.
