More than seventy-nine thousand people across Pakistan have benefited from a series of free ophthalmic treatment camps completed by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief).
The twenty comprehensive camps, staged under the Noor Saudi Volunteer Initiative 2025, reached communities in both urban centres and remote locations across Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The services provided included outpatient consultations, ocular screenings, and surgical procedures.
Furthermore, the programme distributed over twenty thousand pairs of corrective spectacles at no cost to the recipients and supplied necessary prescribed medicines on-site.
The primary objective of the initiative was to deliver crucial eye care services to deprived and at-risk populations, specifically targeting individuals who face economic hardship or have restricted access to specialised medical facilities.
This humanitarian effort is described as reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”s dedication to international health and solidarity, with a particular focus on addressing preventable causes of blindness.
KSrelief has affirmed its commitment to improving the well-being of communities in need throughout Pakistan.
