KHAIRPUR:Armed men looted three houses on Eid days in district Khairpur as authorities failed to provide security on the holy festivity of Muslims.
In the first incident, a gang of bandits entered the house of primary teacher Muhib Ali Khaskheli in Kot Bunglow and looted gold, cash, clothes and other valuables from inmates at gunpoint. On resistance, they opened fire and beat up them ruthlessly.
As a result, four family members, Ustad Muhib Ali Khaskheli, his son Sadaqat Ali Khaskheli, Ali Lashari and Javed Khaskheli, sustained serious injuries. The neighbours and family members however captured a robber, Javed Jagirani, while his other accomplices managed to flee with booty under the cover of firing.
Separately, armed men looted two houses of Nisar Khaskheli and Ulfat Ali Bhutto in Sobhodero and fled with booty. Police could not reach on the spot on time despite information. People are feeling insecure due to worst law and order situation in Khairpur district.
