The Meteorological Department, Quetta Regional Center, on Tuesday issued a synoptic situation report stating that weak moist currents are penetrating most parts of the province, except western districts, which remain influenced by dry continental air due to a ridge over Afghanistan.

However, partly cloudy to cloudy weather with chances of thunder-rain and windstorms is expected in Barkhan, Musakhel, Dukki, Harnai, Loralai, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, Sherani, Nasirabad, Kohlu, and Ziarat districts. Quetta, Kachi, Dera Bugti, Sibi, Qila Abdullah, Muslim Bagh, and Khuzdar may also receive drizzle, thunder, and windstorms, with dust-blowing gusts at times. Light hailstorms or pellet showers are also likely at isolated places during the next 24 hours.
For the next 48 hours, the department further forecast mainly hot and dry weather across most parts of the province, with very hot and humid conditions in southern areas. However, partly cloudy to cloudy weather with chances of thunder-rain and windstorms is expected in Barkhan, Musakhel, Dukki, Harnai, Loralai, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, Sherani, Kohlu, Nasirabad, and Ziarat districts. Quetta, Kachi, Dera Bugti, Sibi, Qila Abdullah, Muslim Bagh, and Khuzdar may also experience drizzle, thunder, and windstorms, along with dust-raising gusts at times. Light hailstorms or pellet showers are also likely at isolated places during this period.
