Top Cop Orders Heightened Vigilance at Mosques During Holy Month

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, today personally assessed security measures at various masjids and imambargahs, directing deployed personnel to exercise increased vigilance and dedication throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The police chief conducted his review during Fajr prayers, meeting with officers assigned to protect the places of worship. He instructed all personnel to perform their duties with sharp attentiveness and commitment.

Earlier in the evening, the IGP demonstrated solidarity with his force by joining officers for Iftar at the Zero Point checkpost, where he broke his fast with them.

During the gathering, Mr Rizvi commended the officers for their devotion, stating that the contribution of every member in discharging their responsibilities was praiseworthy. He expressed pride in the professional competence, bravery, and integrity of the capital’s police.

He urged the assembled personnel to maintain their professional standards and to carry out their duties with zeal throughout the sacred month.
