The body of a 70-year-old man was recovered from a sewer in Karachi’s Federal B Area, prompting police to launch an investigation into the circumstances of his death.
The deceased has been identified as Inayat, son of Barkat.
According to details, volunteers from the Edhi welfare organization retrieved the body from the drain near Sajan Kanta in Block 21 on Thursday.
The body was later moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital via ambulance to complete legal formalities.
Officials at the FB Industrial Area police station have registered a case and initiated a formal investigation into the incident. The cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is received.
