Trainee DSPs of National Police Academy visit Central Police Office Lahore, meet with IG Punjab

As a significant step towards enhancing modern policing methods, 43 trainee Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), including 9 women, visited the Central Police Office Lahore. The event was led by Inspector General (IG) of Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, and highlighted the pressing need for integrating modern technology and artificial intelligence in law enforcement.

In a session filled with dynamic conversation, Additional IG Investigation Shahzada Sultan and AIG Operations Zahid Nawaz Marwat gave a comprehensive briefing on the intricacies of investigation, crime prevention, and the obstacles faced in the field. These insights were complemented by presentations from the trainee officers, who shared their experiences and analyses of urban and rural policing environments.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of service, integrity, and justice in policing. He encouraged the young officers to adopt modern technology and innovative public engagement strategies to improve the police force’s reputation and performance. The gathering was also attended by AIG Development Dr. Rizwan Ahmed Khan and AIG Complaints Ehsan Ullah Chohan, who added their expertise to the discussions.

This initiative signifies the proactive measures being taken to prepare future police leaders with the competence and ethical responsibility to tackle the challenges of modern-day policing.
