Turbat University Achieves Top HEC Ranking, Strengthens Quality Assurance

The University of Turbat (UoT) has achieved the prestigious Higher Education Commission (HEC) “Blue Category” ranking, signifying high performance in quality assurance. This achievement was announced during the university”s fourth University Quality Circle (UTQC) meeting held on July 22, 2025, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan. The meeting meticulously examined and endorsed vital quality documentation, including the Institutional Performance Evaluation Action Taken Report (RIPE 2022-23), the RIPE Review Report 2024-25, and the RIPE Implementation Plan 2024-25.

The Vice Chancellor commended the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) and the RIPE Review Panel for their dedication to a thorough and evidence-based assessment procedure. The forum also discussed advancements in the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) cycle 2024-25, encompassing five academic curricula.

Action reports on previous Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) and newly formulated implementation strategies were ratified. Furthermore, the Postgraduate Program Review (PGPR) documents, encompassing evaluation outcomes and corrective action strategies, were examined and approved, emphasizing enhanced academic standards and file management practices at the postgraduate level.

The QEC”s Annual Activity Calendar for 2025-26 received unanimous approval. Department heads were directed to formulate department-specific academic calendars to synchronize academic schedules across all departments. The Vice Chancellor reaffirmed the institution”s dedication to continuous quality enhancement and stakeholder-focused academic administration.
