Two coal miners still stranded near Duki

QUETTA:Two coal miners stranded in a collapsed coal mines in district Duki of Balochistan province had not yet been retrieved despite lapse of considerable period of time. Rescue operation is being under taken by local Laborer’s voluntarily instead of Government departments. According to reports, two coal miners, who had been stranded in 900 feet deep coal mine after it collapsed on May 04, 2023, had not yet been retrieved.

In order to retrieve the stranded coal miners from the collapsed coal mines, 60 local coal miners have been taking part voluntarily in the rescue operation. Talking to PPI, local miners said that neither Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Balochistan nor Mines and Minerals Development Department, Government of Balochistan had taken any action to retrieve the stranded coal miners.
