Two-day lockdown imposed in district Awaran

AWARAN: Deputy Commissioner, Awaran, Mir Saifullah Khetran, has said that like other cities of Balochistan, a two-day lockdown on Thursday and Friday had also been enforced in district Awaran of the Balochistan province in view of novel coronavirus, according to a statement issued here on Thursday.

He said police and levies force had warned owners of shops, warehouses and auto repair shops to ensure implementing the instructions of the government regarding the lockdown on Thursday and Friday. He added that no one would be permitted to open shops during the lockdown, adding that strict legal action would be taken against those found defying the instructions of district administration.

Khetran urged people not to leave their homes without any reason and wear face masks. He added that medical stores and fruit shops would remain open during the lockdown.
