Two shopkeepers robbed of cash, mobiles in Larkana

LARKANA: The lawlessness continues to worsen here despite police efforts to control the ever-increasing crime.

Two shopkeepers were deprived of cash and mobile phones on Saturday by unknown armed gangs. An electronic shopkeeper was robbed of Rs710,000 cash and a mobile phone on Nishtar Road by two armed bikers within the limits of Hyderi police station. Shopkeeper Zulfiqar Sandeelo said that two masked robbers motorcyclists came in the mid-day in his shop and made him and his labour captive, looted Rs710,000 cash and a cellular phone and fled without fear of law.

He said he informed the police and other shopkeepers who arrived, got details and started an investigation whereas shopkeepers staged a protest demonstration against lawlessness demanding peace. In another incident, a medical store owner was deprived of Rs80,000 and a costly mobile phone in Murad Wahan within the jurisdiction of Dari Police Station. Police after getting details started a probe.

Sandeep Kumar said that two armed unknown motorcyclists forcibly entered his store last night, made us captive and robbed cash and a mobile phone costing Rs50,000 and escaped. He said he was also previously looted by armed men but cops did nothing to prevent such crimes. Both the shopkeepers demanded recovery of their cash, phones and strict legal action against criminals operating freely and tranquility in Larkana.
