Wazirabad: Some bone-chilling details have emerged of the incident in which a woman and her daughter-in-law were found murdered in Sohdara area of Wazirabad, near Gujranwala, rescue sources said Wednesday.

Police’s report revealed that both the women, 50-year-old Shahnaz Kausar and her daughter-in-law 26-year-old Ibtisam, were first murdered with the help of a sharp-edged weapon before chemical was thrown at them and they were set alight.

According to the woman’s husband, his wife was about to give birth to a child in a few days’ time. Although police have registered a case on the complaint of Ibtisam’s husband, still they say it would be premature to tell anything about the murderers.
