U.S. Consul General’s Hyderabad Visit Reinforces U.S.-Pakistan Bonds

U.S. Consul General Scott Urbom recently completed an official visit to Hyderabad, emphasizing strengthened connections and economic collaboration between the United States and Pakistan.

His engagements with government officials, youth leaders, and the business community highlighted the enduring ties between the two nations.

In Jamshoro, Urbom attended the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network reunion, where he interacted with senior alumni to discuss the impact of U.S. exchange programs. He remarked on the alumni’s initiatives in tech programs and community upliftment, noting their role in advancing economic growth and public safety.

During the closing ceremony of the English Access Scholarship Program at Government College University Hyderabad, Urbom underscored the significance of educational investments for stability and prosperity. The program benefited 75 students, equipping them with essential skills.

Meeting with the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Urbom explored the regional agricultural and business sectors and discussed potential U.S. trade and investment opportunities to strengthen economic ties.

The Consul General also engaged with students at the Lincoln Corner Hyderabad, presenting on sports diplomacy with a focus on baseball and cricket.

Urbom’s visit highlighted the critical role of U.S.-Pakistan collaboration in education, economic engagement, and community empowerment, reinforcing diplomatic priorities for mutual safety and prosperity.
