An investigation has been initiated after the corpse of an unidentified man was discovered on Friday in the Pishin Stop vicinity of the provincial capital. According to rescue sources, the deceased individual, found lying near the stop, appeared to be a drug addict.
Following the discovery, the remains were transferred to the morgue at Sandeman Provincial Hospital Quetta, police said today.
The move was made to allow for the completion of essential medico-legal formalities and to proceed with efforts to establish the man’s identity.
Authorities from the Police Station Civil Line Quetta are now conducting a further inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death.
