University Camp Empowers University Women Through Health Screenings

In a significant move to bolster female student well-being, a free Nutrition Assessment Camp was held on the University of Central Punjab (UCP) campus, providing women with vital health screenings and expert consultations as part of a targeted empowerment initiative.

According to UCP statement today, the event was a collaborative effort between the Food Junction Society and the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences. It was organized under the banner of the project ‘The Better Me – Empowering University Women,’ which is designed to foster greater health awareness among the female population at the university.

Attendees at the camp had access to a comprehensive range of cost-free services. These included anthropometric measurements to assess body size and proportions, along with sophisticated body composition analysis.

Further diagnostic services were also available to the participants. The health check-ups featured blood pressure screening, detailed dietary assessments by nutritional experts, and Complete Blood Count (CBC) tests to evaluate overall health.

This civic engagement initiative provided a valuable opportunity for university women to receive a thorough health evaluation, promoting proactive wellness management and education within the campus community.
