University Laboratory Unveils EPA-Certified Commercial Water Testing Services

The Water Analysis Centre at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) today announced the availability of EPA-certified commercial water testing services, offering the public, businesses, and researchers access to reliable drinking water quality analysis. The initiative was showcased during an Open House event held at the university on 12 February 2026, marking a significant expansion of the centre”s capabilities.

The event was attended by key university figures, including Rector Dr. Jonathan S. Addleton and Vice Rector Dr. Douglas Trimble, alongside faculty members, staff, and research students. The university leadership acknowledged the dedication involved in establishing the facility as a prominent laboratory for water quality assessment.

During the tour, attendees were shown the advanced analytical instrumentation housed at the WAC. The equipment, which includes ICP-OES, HG/CV-AAS, ion chromatography systems, and TOC analysers, provides the capacity for precise water quality analysis and supports advanced research activities.

A related university initiative, “Aqua Bliss” drinking water, was also highlighted. The bottled water, produced by the institution”s own Water Treatment Plant and available for purchase via the centre, was presented as a testament to the university”s commitment to providing safe potable water.

Information was provided on how both internal university members and external clients can utilise the laboratory”s services. The WAC’s offerings range from routine drinking water evaluations to more complex environmental testing protocols.

The Open House served to reaffirm the university’s focus on scientific standards and solidify the Water Analysis Centre”s position as a key resource for water quality research and analytical services.
