Usman’s four help Pakistan whitewash Zimbabwe in T20Is

KARACHI:Usman Qadir bamboozled Zimbabwean batsmen with his spin and helped Pakistan whitewash Zimbabwe in the three-match T20I series in Rawalpindi with an eight-wicket win in the last match.

 

Son of Pakistan’s renowned spinner Abdul Qadir, Usman bowled lethally on Tuesday eventually picking four wickets cheaply for 13 runs to restrict opponents to 129-9. The modest target was easily achieved by Pakistan’s top order batsmen in 15.2 overs.

 

Zimbabwean skipper Chamu Chibhabha was the only notable run-getter for his side with 31 runs.

 

Pakistan opener Abdullah Shafique batted playing an unbeaten 41-run knock off 33 balls with the help of four boundaries and a six. Khushdil Shah scored unbeaten 36 off just 15 balls with the help of three sixes and as many boundaries.

 

Meanwhile, Fakhar Zaman and Haider Ali contributed 21 and 27 runs respectively.
