UVAS, FGRF Partner For Greener Pakistan

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore and the Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF) have joined forces to bolster environmental sustainability.

The organizations formalized their collaboration with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on a treeplanting drive under the FGRF Green Pakistan Campaign.

The agreement was signed at UVAS City Campus by Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Rana Muhammad Ayyub and FGRF Head of Department Muhammad Shahid Attari. UVAS Registrar Sajjad Hyder and Prof Dr Mati Ur Rehman Khan Niazi were also in attendance. Following the signing, Prof Dr Ayyub and other officials symbolically planted a sapling near the ViceChancellor”s office.

The partnership stipulates that FGRF will supply 350 saplings annually to UVAS City Campus. In return, UVAS will oversee the planting, upkeep, and safeguarding of the saplings. The university will also manage site preparation, watering, and other logistical needs to ensure the plants” growth.
