Uzbekistan appreciates Pakistani efforts for ceasefire in Middle East

Uzbekistan has expressed full support for Pakistan’s diplomatic initiative to achieve an initial two-week ceasefire in the Middle East, a step both countries hope will pave the way for lasting peace.

This support was expressed during a telephonic conversation today between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyor Saidov. The two leaders discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the wider region.

During the conversation, Foreign Minister Saidov praised Pakistan’s leadership role and assured his country’s support for efforts to promote regional peace and stability.

Both foreign ministers expressed the shared hope that these diplomatic initiatives would contribute to establishing lasting peace not only in the region but throughout the world.
