KARACHI: The vaccinators of Sindh under the banner of Vaccination Welfare Association (VWA) Sindh on Tuesday continued the protest demonstration and staged a sit-in outside Karachi Press Club for upgradation of their posts and regularization of contract vaccinators.
The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with different slogans like: regularize vaccinators, pay pending salaries, upgrade vaccinators’ posts and others. The vaccinators from all over the Sindh province attended the protest.
They said vaccinators in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are working in grade-11 while vaccinators in Sindh were being appointed in grade 6. They said Sindh government seemed reluctant to upgrade their posts on patron of other provinces.
The vaccinators demanded of Chief Minister Sindh and other authorities concerned to upgrade vaccinator posts in Sindh, regularize contract vaccinators and pay six-month pending salaries to vaccinator on urgent basis.
