Villagers protest in Larkana against land occupation

Larkana:Poor members of Jeho community of Lal Tunio village, Bakrani Taluka, held a protest demonstration against occupation of their 20 acre precious land by influential habitual land grabbers of Jatoi community.

The protesters, including aged Abdullah Jeho, his wife Daryan Khatoon, son Abdul Ghaffar Jeho, Zulekhan and other relatives, alleged that influential people of Jatoi community were harassing them constantly through various tactics. They said their son Bakht Jeho went to the land today from where he was kidnapped by Dolo Jatoi, Bakht Jatoi, Suhrab Jatoi and others, and he has been made captive.

They said they had lodged a report at the concerned police station Illahi Bux Siyal but cops instead of taking stern action against the accused had arrested his brother Shahmore Jeho. They said that the accused were constantly threatening to shift to other areas so that they could occupy their land, adding police were not helping them.

They appealed to Sindh High Court Chief Justice, DIGP Larkana Irfan Ali Baloch and other relevant higher government authorities not only to take notice of the issue, provide justice and protection to them but also influential political supporters of the accused must also be taken to task so that such incidents come to an end permanently.
