Gas supply has been suspended in Cantt Road and its adjacent areas of Badin after water entered the main pipeline on Wednesday morning, disrupting the daily lives of countless domestic consumers and leaving families unable to cook food and meet other basic needs.

The gas supply was suspended early in the morning, creating severe difficulties for the residents. According to citizens, this unexpected shutdown has paralyzed their household routines, making it impossible to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner on time.

The severity of the situation is further compounded by the fact that most households do not have alternative facilities such as LPG cylinders or electric stoves. This has increased the troubles for women and the elderly, while housewives state that even a simple task like warming milk for young children has become impossible.

Residents reported that children and office-goers had to leave their homes without breakfast, and the supply suspension has made it difficult to even make tea.

Severe frustration is growing among the affected public, who claim that despite lodging repeated complaints at the Sui Southern Gas Company office, there has been no response. Reportedly, attempts to contact the company officials by phone have also been unsuccessful, increasing the public’s anxiety and anger.

The residents have demanded that higher authorities intervene immediately to restore the gas supply and find a permanent solution to this infrastructure problem, so that consumers can return to their normal routines.
