Water quality investigation launched in Loralai on water complaint

Public sources of drinking water in Loralai district are undergoing strict scrutiny, as the Food Safety Team has initiated a comprehensive inspection campaign since Wednesday to assess water quality and identify potential contamination.

This operation was initiated by Commissioner Loralai Division, Wali Muhammad Barech, and the Director of Operations of the Balochistan Food Authority on public complaints, which involves collecting samples from various water sources including tube wells, ponds, and government water tanks in and around Loralai city.

The collected samples have been sent to the Balochistan Food Authority’s laboratory for detailed testing, which will include physical, chemical, and biological tests to detect any kind of contamination.

According to Food Safety officials, the primary objective of this initiative is to ensure the supply of clean, safe, and wholesome drinking water to the public.

The officials have indicated that further legal and corrective actions will be taken based on the final results of the laboratory test reports.
