Why EU delegation’s visit to IOK on exams date

Srinagar, October 29, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, in order to give an impression of normalcy in the territory, Indian government has deliberately called the EU delegation to visit the territory on the exam dates. Over 1 lac students of Class 10 and Class 12 are going to commence their annual examinations Oct 29 (today) and Oct 30 (tomorrow), these days when the EU delegation is scheduled to visit the Valley.

The students have been forced by the authorities to appear in the exams despite the fact that they have not been able to attend educational institutions since August 5 due to the ongoing unprecedented military lockdown and communications blackout in the territory.

Meanwhile, Indian politician and President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday slammed New Delhi for allowing the delegation of EU MPs to visit Kashmir. He in a statement issued in New Delhi also pointed out that most of the MPs who are a part of the delegation suffer from Islamophobia.
