Will provide full representation to business women: UBG

KARACHI:United Business Group (UBG) Patron in chief of S.M Muneer on Wednesday appreciating the role of women wing of UBG advised them to be more enthusiastic and active against the opponents and said that the women wing can play important role in success of United Business Group in FPCCI elections.

He said when the UBG was office of FPCCI they give have given important role of business women wing and group has been providing representation to women in all the committees of FPCCI but the current occupation of FPCCI group has also done injustice to the representatives of women chambers and marginalized them instead of giving them importance. He exposed hope and said that UBG will once again win the Federation Chamber elections and provide opportunities for full representation to business women, according to a statement. On the occasion, Chairman United Business Group and President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iftikhar Ali Malik, Chairperson of UBG Women’s Wing Samina Fazil, Vice Chairperson Saeeda Malik, Naheed Masood also addressed the meeting.

It was decided to nominate Ms. Rukhsana Nadir of KPK and Samina Fazil as alternate candidates for the seat while Ms. Rubina Amjad of Faisalabad was announced to be the chairperson of UBG Punjab Wing. Rizwana Shahid, Maryam Chaudhry, Shabnam Zafar, Naheed Masood, Alia Khan, Noorin Amjad, Naila Ansari, Ayesha, Farzana Burney and other candidates of United Business Group in FPCCI Gohar, Khalid Tawab, Noor Ahmad Khan, UBG Lahore Chairman Ali Hussam Asghar, Waqar M Mian and other leaders were also present. He said that resources were depleted and our last president had left Rs. 16 crore in the exchequer of the federation out of which the present controversial president has spent Rs. 14 crore on personal advertisement.

He advised that educated business women should also participate fully in business politics. He said that all UBG candidates will once again win by a majority. We have done positive work in FPCCI and established excellent offices of the Federation in Pakistan.
