QUETTA: Government Teachers Association Aaeeni (GTAA) Women Wing took out a rally here on Thursday to press the government to accept their genuine demands forthwith.
The participants marched from the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation’s lawn to Quetta Press Club, where they staged a protest demonstration and chanted slogans in support of the demands of GTAA. Speaking on the occasion, GTAA leaders Hassan Bano and others said it was not known as to why the legitimate demand of GTAA regarding upgradation of the post of junior teacher was not being acceded to when all the sister provinces of the country had already upgraded the posts of junior teachers of their respective provinces.
The GTAA leaders have been on hunger strike unto death since August 08, 2022, but the authorities were paying no heed to get the issues of GTAA addressed, they regretted. The leaders demanded of the authorities to address all the demands of GTAA, including upgradation of the post of junior teachers.
