Soormi Women Development Organization, a prominent women’s and human rights organization, is organizing a rally on Independence Day, August 8th. The rally will commence from Jamkhana Badin, proceed through Shahnawaz Bhutto Chowk, and conclude at the Badin Press Club.
Women’s groups are enthusiastically preparing to celebrate Independence Day with national fervor and express their support for the Pakistan Army. Soormi Women Development Organization recently held a meeting at Jamkhana Badin, chaired by Abida Marvi Soomro. The meeting was attended by officials of the Soormi Women Development Association, along with human rights activists including Khursheed Memon, Sheerin Mallah, Syed Muhammad Hassan Shah, Faisal Baloch, Sarwar Arisar, Attaullah Memon, Mukhtar Arisar, Jam Soomro, Khalid Ali, and several other participants.
The meeting deliberated on Independence Day preparations and decided to hold a procession on August 8th. The participants intend to demonstrate solidarity with the Pakistan Army. The meeting also agreed to invite other political, social, educational, literary, commercial, women’s, labor, and student organizations to participate in the Independence Day march and related activities.
