NAUNDERO: Residents of Naundero faced one of the worst electricity outages that started from 4pm on Wednesday and could not be restored till 7pm.
The loadshedding was started when little drops of rain fell on the town. It has been proved that over 100 SEPCO employees posted here are not performing their government duties perfectly.
WAPDA Hydro Union is taking out rallies and holding protest demos not to privatise PDCs while on the other their members are not performing their duties to remove faults after rain and there seems nobody to direct them for duty.
PPP Ladies Wing Chief and MPA Faryal Talpur had recently talked to SEPCO CEO not to carry out unscheduled electricity load shedding for which she was assured but the CEO did nothing to honour his commitment.
Ghulam Hyder Narejo of Naundero Shehri Action Committee, Labour leader Sahab Khan Shaikh and others have strongly condemned the un-announced load shedding in the home town of Bhutto leaders which has crippled life here. They said that there has been no electricity supply for the last over 48 hours and all the nearby villages of Naundero have been without electricity for a month but the engineers have done nothing to probe as to why supply has been disconnected to the poor people leaving them to suffer.
They said Punjab is giving free electricity to the poverty-stricken people using up to 100 units but in Sindh they have altogether been deprived of a single unit. He said influential people have been posted here who only want to grab money without rendering their services.
They demanded a thorough probe into the affairs of the SEPCO and ensure proper supply to the citizens. This scribe tried to contact SDO SEPCO Naundero Sajad Memon and incharge Line Superintendent Kausar Mirani to have their views but their cell phones were not responding.
