Youth Urged To Spearhead Pakistan’s Digital Revolution

Advisor to the Finance Minister, Khurram Schehzad, has called upon Pakistan’s young people to lead the nation’s digital transformation.

Speaking at the Skill-Up Batch-II Graduation Ceremony at Iqra University, Karachi, he emphasized the crucial role of youth in shaping the country’s online economy.

Schehzad commended the 80 graduating students who completed the eight-week intensive training program. Their accomplishments in areas like web development, digital marketing, video editing, and animation, guided by seasoned professionals, were praised. “Young individuals are the catalysts for progress,” he stated. “They introduce ingenuity and fresh perspectives. This is their opportunity to excel, establish their reputation, and contribute to the growth of Pakistan’s digital sector.’

He highlighted the significance of skills-based education and acknowledged Iqra University’s Centre of Research and Entrepreneurship (IU-CORE) for providing a platform that equips young individuals with freelancing and entrepreneurial abilities. He observed that Pakistan’s freelancing sector is already flourishing internationally, generating substantial revenue. However, he underscored that significant progress remains to be made, expressing confidence that the younger generation will achieve these goals.

Schehzad encouraged the graduates to embrace difficulties, learn from setbacks, and utilize criticism constructively. ‘Hurdles are inherent to any endeavor,” he noted. “Failures reveal your true capabilities. Be bold and take risks, as the youthful demographic will construct a more robust economy for Pakistan.’

Iqra University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nassar Ikram, and prominent content creator and YouTuber, Waqar Siddiqui, also attended the event as Guest of Honor.

The ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates to the Skill-Up Batch-II graduates, who demonstrated excellence in various courses, including mobile app development, web development, video editing, animation, and vlogging.
