Youth’s body found in guava orchard in Bhiria City village

The family of a 17-year-old youth, allegedly tortured to death for picking guavas, has accused the local police of refusing to register their case due to pressure from influential individuals.

The body of Sajjad Shah was found today in a guava orchard in Bahadur Shah village, within the jurisdiction of the Bhiria City police station. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the deceased had been taken into custody and was later transferred to a hospital.

In response to the alleged police inaction, the youth’s relatives, led by Mumtaz Shah and Musarat Shah, protested outside the local press club. They told reporters that the orchard’s owner was responsible for the fatal attack on the young man.

The family claims that their attempts to file a formal complaint were obstructed, forcing them to stage a public demonstration. According to sources, authorities have arrested one person on suspicion in connection with the death.

The bereaved family has appealed to the Senior Superintendent of Police of Naushahro Feroze, Mir Rohail Khoso, for justice.
