Experts lauded the services of Prof Dr Tariq Mehmood

KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Karachi on Saturday organized a program to acknowledge the services of Head of Radiology Department & CyberKnife, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Prof Dr Tariq Mehmood for his contribution for poor patients.

In his welcome address, President, PMA, Karachi Dr Khalil Mukaddam, said PMA has tradition of organizing programs for health practitioners who selflessly served the masses.

Senior leader of PMA, Dr Shershah Syed said Prof Tariq Mehmood is serving the people with great dedication and commitment. He said his role in medical field is symbol for young doctors.

Former Deputy Secretary Health , Sindh, Dr Jamal Din Sheikh said JPMC’s radiology department is the only department where all kind of advance diagnostic facilities are available free of cost under one roof. He said Dr Tariq Mehmood is good administrator and teacher.

Secretary General, PMA (Centre), Dr Mirza Ali Azhar said services of people like Prof Tariq Mehmood should be highlighted and credit goes to PMA Karachi for organizing such event.

Chairman Sindh Healthcare Commission Prof Tipu Sultan said common people are being provided advance facilities like CyberKnife and Pet-Scan at Radiology Department of JPMC.

Head of Radiology Department & CyberKnife, JPMC, Prof Dr Tariq Mehmood said thanked the PMA Karachi for organizing program his honor. He said patients care in public sector hospitals can be improved throughout coordinated efforts.

Executive Director , JPMC Dr Seemin Jamali, Administrator, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Dr Malik Hamid Ullah, Dr Zahid Ansari, Dr Qazi Wasiq, Idrees Adhi, Prof Syeda Haider, Dr Ismail Memon and other senior doctors attended the event.
